Olivia Ildefonso is currently a Ph.D. candidate in human geography at the City University of New York Graduate Center. Her research explores forms of structural racism in the suburbs, with a particular focus on Long Island, NY. Fred Brewington, Esq.
Raised in Lakeview, Long Island, Fred Brewington is a respected lawyer and community advocate with a distinguished legal career. After working at a number of prestigious firms and law offices, including a clerkship at the Office of the Legal Counsel of the United States Senate, Fred Brewington began a private practice in New York City and Long Island. With his expertise in civil rights litigation, Fred has successfully challenged the 'at large' voting system in the Town of Hempstead and worked on preventing future unconstitutional and discriminatory purging of voters from the voting roll. Edgar Campbell
Click here to Ed Campbell presently works as the Chief of Staff of Operations at the Nassau County Board of Elections (BOE). In this capacity he serves as one of the commissioner’s advisors on special projects and policy, and supervises in excess of 50 employees. Prior to working at the board, Mr. Campbell served at the Nassau County Legislature. Throughout his 12 years there he served in numerous positions. He started as legislative assistant for Hon. Lisanne Altman, District 10, where he handled constituent affairs, managed the office staff, served as a liaison with various Public and Governmental groups, and one of his proudest accomplishments at that time was working with the Parks Department to revitalize Parks in the District that were in disrepair near the Spinny Hill Housing Apartments.
