Stephanie Leon, BA
Intervention Case Manager, STRONG University (Brentwood) “Be the beacon of light in someone’s darkness.” – Randi G Fine Growing up, Stephanie witnessed her parents struggle to provide for the family and a lot of unfair treatment of those undocumented. As first generation immigrants, they knew the hardships and did their best to provide for her while encouraging her to pursue education for her as an open window for opportunities. This is why she seeks to help those in need no matter their hardships. She loves S.T.R.O.N.G. as they help youth better themselves encouraging them to take a different path by providing support and love. S.T.R.O.N.G.’s mission to guide youth and demonstrate a different life that consists of positive changes for themselves and the community resonates with her heart. At a young age, Stephanie knew her passion was to help the youth. She attended SUNY College at Old Westbury to obtain her bachelor’s in psychology and is currently attending Stonybrook University for Social work. Social work will allow her to work in multiple settings and reach the youth. Stephanie Leon joined S.T.R.O.N.G December of 2018. She is glad to have joined such a caring program that wants the best for youth, their families, and the community. She enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family, doing new activities, and meeting new people. |
