The S.T.R.O.N.G. Farm combines food and community with hands-on education on farming and mindfulness for children and adults on Long Island. The farm is a no-till, naturally raised, non-profit farm on the campus of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Brentwood, NY.
Our mission is to: 1) increase access to fresh, healthy food in underserved communities 2) combine agro-education with social-emotional learning for youth and families 3) promote farming as a means of economic sustainability for the youth of promise 4) provide a safe and supportive space for individuals to gather across racial and socioeconomic divides
We are always learning and improving to give our community the best food possible! Through community engagement, we hope to share the beauty and awe of agriculture to inspire the next generation of farmers and gardeners.
New in 2022 We partnered with LI Greens to expand our space into a brand new greenhouse for our nursery and planted an orchard full of apples, nectarines, figs, pears, persimmons, and more!
We hope to see you on our farm this year! We have volunteer and C.S.A. opportunities available. We also welcome youth, school, and corporate groups to share in our space.
