Victor Lopez
Asst. Youth & Family Engagement Specialist (Brentwood) “We rise by lifting others” - Robert Ingersoll Victor grew up in a low income split family and moved to Brooklyn, NY, from the Dominican Republic, when he was 17 years old. Not knowing how to speak English, he endured a lot of difficulty that almost hindered him from pursuing his dream of one-day graduating from college and becoming a successful adult. After completing his GED, Victor continued his studies at Touro College. He graduated with a bachelors in Human Services in May 2015. With the support of his church community and family, he was given the resources necessary to succeed in all aspects of his life. "Now that I am in a position to help others, I believe it is my time to uplift and provide youth with the tools to excel in life." Victor Lopez Victor joined our STRONG Family in April 2019 as a L.E.A.D.S. (Leaders in Engagement, Advocacy, and Development of Scholars) Specialist at Uniondale High School. He transitioned to a new position as an Asst. Youth & Family Engagement Specialist in June 2020. |
